Asparagus time

At last we are able to start harvesting the asparagus. Not that prolific but that is probably due to the very dry weather of late.

The summer raspberries have been tidied up and given a good feed and mulch. Looking good now.

Loads of flowers coming on the currant bushes. It should be a bumper year now they are well established. I am hoping we might get a few more goji berries this year. Last year’s crop of six was rather underwhelming!

Early April – spring is stirring

Such a beautiful day for gardening. Fed the currants and planted some wildflower seeds. Amazing how long these jobs take.

The asparagus spears are starting to come through. Really looking forward to having our first harvest of them.
